Happy Halloween! Watching a parade of tiny princesses and superheroes as they try to collect a year’s worth of candy in a few hours is delightful. But cleaning up Halloween pranks is downright frightful.
Whether it’s eggs, shaving cream, toilet paper, or soap, here’s how to clean off common Halloween prank substances.
- Egg. Newer stains are easier to remove, so try to clean up the mess as quickly as possible. Power washing is the easiest and fastest way to remove the egg. If you don’t have one, use a garden hose or something else that breaks down the egg’s protein and creates a waterfall effect.
- Toilet paper. The best way to reach and remove toilet paper that’s stuck in high places is with a leaf blower, rake, or tree trimming tool. If the paper sticks to the side of the building, do not try to scrape it as that might damage the paint. Instead, thoroughly soak the toilet paper with water, then spray it off with a garden hose.
- Shaving cream/soap. This is the easiest prank to clean up. Both shaving cream and soap quickly and easily wash away with a garden hose. But be sure to be thorough so there’s no residual residue.
If Halloween pranksters decide to make your company a target this year, SFM Landscape is committed to doing a spooktacular job of cleaning it up.
