As we prepare to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, we reflect on the events of 2019. What a year it’s been! Here are SFM Services’ best moments, biggest milestones, and jaw-dropping events.
In March, we did our part to keep the Miami Dade County Fair & Exposition as clean as possible. And it was no easy feat! This year, more than 550,000 guests attended the 21-day event, which includes nearly 100 rides, food, livestock and agricultural competitions, concerts, shows, student exhibits, and more.
In April, the SFM Janitorial team was again contracted to keep Key Biscayne clean during the Ultra Music Festival. Later in the month, we took a break from servicing large-scale events to participate in the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run in Downtown Miami.
In May, SFM Landscape installed trees in Miami Lakes for the West Lake Restoration Project. As part of the imaginemiamilakes2025.com plan, this project is meant to create a consistent street tree canopy and improve the aesthetics of the area.
In June, to coincide with National Safety Month, we held a Safety BBQ for the SFM team. As we did in 2018, we raffled a car! Every employee with five or more years of service to SFM was entered to win. Our winner, Emile Jean-Pierre, has been a part of the SFM Security team since 2014.
In August, we were happy to provide equipment and manpower to help clean-up after Tropical Storm Dorian.
In October, the SFM Landscape team attended the Green Industry and Equipment Expo, the largest trade show for outdoor power equipment. We left with great ideas on new tools for lawn and garden, light construction, and landscaping.
It’s been a year full of service to our clients, our community, and our employees! We’re excited about 2020, a new decade, and all the possibilities that await.
