A new year means a fresh start. And there’s no better way to start anew than with a clean slate, literally. For both health reasons and office morale, it’s a good idea to treat your entire office space to a thorough commercial cleaning. First, of course, you’ll need to formulate a plan. To help you start 2018 on the right (and sanitary) foot, we’re providing a simple end of the year cleanup checklist:

Tackle the clutter – Take inventory of the things cluttering your desk and office …  sticky notes, an outdated calendar, old newspapers.

Papers are the biggest culprit of clutter, and send the message that you’re disorganized. So toss what you don’t need, and file away the rest.

Clean every surface – Nothing turns off a potential client like a dingy office. If you can’t take care of your office space, how can they trust you to take care of their business? So it’s important to have clean floors, clean windows, clean carpets and clean upholstery. With everything clean, the air quality in your office will greatly improve, which is good for your staff and your bottom line.

Sanitize the kitchen -The kitchen is the hub of most offices. Keeping it clean is easiest when everyone does their part, but this is a great time to assess the situation to ensure the area is as clean and clutter-free as it should be

Disinfect the restrooms – The restrooms are a favorite place for disease-causing germs, which is why they need to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent germs from spreading to employees and clients.
